About the Role
n
As a Welder (First Class), you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and fabricated assemblies while ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, quality standards and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
n
- Measure, mark out, cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
n
- Perform MIG, TIG and arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components as required.
n
- Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structures and products.
n
- Align and secure components using appropriate tools and measuring equipment prior to welding.
n
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.
n
- Grind, clean and finish welded components.
n
- Operate fabrication equipment,
hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
n
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and maintain a clean work area.
n
- Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
n

About You
n
To be considered for this role you will have:
n
n
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Welding) or equivalent trade qualification.
n
- Relevant post-qualification welding experience.
n
- Demonstrated experience with MIG and TIG welding (arc welding experience advantageous).
n
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings.
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
n
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
n
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
