The opportunity

Weu2019re looking for a Lending Associate to join our team.

n

This isnu2019t simply an administration role.

n

Itu2019s an opportunity to learn mortgage broking from the ground up while working alongside experienced brokers and supporting real clients through the lending journey.

n

Youu2019ll begin by learning the operational foundations of a high-performing mortgage business — how a quality loan file is built, how lenders work, how applications progress, how clients are communicated with and how great service is delivered.

n

As your knowledge and capability develop, so will the role.

n

For the right person, our intention is to create a genuine pathway towards becoming a qualified and accredited mortgage broker.

n

You donu2019t need previous mortgage broking experience.

n

Weu2019re much more interested in your attitude, potential and willingness to learn.

What youu2019ll learn

n

n
- Support clients throughout their lending journey
n
- Understand a clientu2019s financial position and lending requirements
n
- Prepare and package high-quality loan applications
n
- Navigate lender policies, processes and requirements
n
- Order and understand property valuations
n
- Complete product comparisons and assist with pricing
n
- Manage applications from preparation through to settlement
n
- Communicate professionally with clients, lenders and other stakeholders
n




- Use industry technology including BrokerEngine and Stride
n
- Maintain accurate client and compliance records
n
- Understand the reasoning behind lending recommendations and loan structures
n
- Build the technical, commercial and relationship skills required to become a successful mortgage broker
n

n

Initially, there will be plenty of administration and process work. Thatu2019s intentional.

n

We want you to understand how the whole business works, not simply learn how to sell a home loan.

n

Your career pathway

n

We see this as an apprenticeship into mortgage broking.

n

Your development could look something like:

n

Learn the foundations → master lending operations → develop technical lending knowledge → build client skills → complete industry qualifications → work towards accreditation → progress towards becoming a Mortgage Broker.

n

Weu2019ll support you in completing your Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and Diploma, alongside practical, on-the-job development.

n

There are no shortcuts, and becoming a great broker takes time.

n

But if you bring the attitude and put in the work, weu2019ll bring the training, mentoring and opportunity.

You may be a recent graduate, currently working in customer service, administration, banking, property or another professional environment u2014 or simply someone who knows theyu2019re capable of more and wants to build a career.

Your previous job title isnu2019t particularly important to us.
