About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join a busy production and manufacturing team in Bundamba. This hands‐on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing or assembly experience who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving team performance.

n

As the Leading Hand, you will oversee daily workshop operations, support production staff, ensure safety and quality compliance, and assist in achieving production targets and customer delivery deadlines.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead, mentor and support production and assembly team members.
n
- Coordinate daily workshop activities to ensure production schedules are achieved.
n
- Monitor quality standards and ensure all work meets required specifications.
n
- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
n
- Assist with assembly and manufacturing tasks as required.
n
- Ensure all resources, tools, equipment and materials are used efficiently.
n
- Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
n
- Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
n
- Work closely with management to achieve operational and production goals.
n
- Maintain accurate records and reporting relating to production activities.
n
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements,



quality systems, policies and procedures.
n

What We're Looking For

Essential:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, fabrication or assembly environment.
n
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a workshop or production setting.
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
n
- Relevant trade qualification or technical qualification.
n

Preferred:

- Australian Driver's Licence.
n
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
n
- Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement processes.
