Disability Connect Victoria is seeking compassionate and reliable casual Disability Support Workers to join our team in Sale
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to help participants live safely, independently and actively within their community.
- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and social activities
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Medication assistance
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Supporting participants with behaviours of concern
- Following individual support plans and NDIS goals
- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation
Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a relevant higher qualification
- At least 12 months’ experience in a similar role
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Access to a registered and insured vehicle
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with personal care, manual handling, medication assistance and behaviours of concern will be highly regarded.
