About the Opportunity
n
Mercury Marine is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead sales activities across South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Victoria.
n
Based in Dandenong South, Victoria, this role is responsible for managing Dealer relationships, driving retail sales performance, identifying new business opportunities and delivering territory growth in line with Company objectives.
n
Working closely with dealers, boat builders, industry stakeholders and internal teams, you will play a key role in expanding market share and strengthening dealer capability. This role combines strategic planning, business development and relationship management, making it ideal for a commercially focused sales skilled who enjoys building long-term partnerships and delivering sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
n
Sales & Territory Management
n
n
- Develop and execute annual sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
n
- Manage the South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Victoria sales territory to achieve revenue and market share targets.
n
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities.
n
- Deliver accurate sales and inventory forecasts to support business planning.
n
n
Dealer Network Development
n
n
- Build, develop and maintain a high-performing dealer network.
n
- Conduct regular dealer visits, business reviews and growth planning discussions.
n
- Identify opportunities to strengthen dealer performance and retail sales outcomes.
n
- Support dealer recruitment and onboarding activities where required.
n
n
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
n
n
- Develop strong relationships with dealers, boat builders, fleet operators, distributors and industry stakeholders.
n
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the region.
n
- Support and implement national sales initiatives within the territory.
n
- Represent Mercury Marine at industry events, trade shows, dealer open days and customer events.
n
n
Training & Support
n
n
- Deliver dealer and OEM sales training programs.
n
- Enhance product knowledge,
sales capability and brand engagement across the dealer network.
n
- Support dealers in achieving sales growth and improving customer outcomes.
n
n
Reporting & Business Planning
n
n
- Provide comprehensive weekly reports on customer visits, sales activities and business opportunities.
n
- Maintain accurate territory plans and account management strategies.
n
- Contribute insights and recommendations to support continuous business improvement.
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- 5-7+ years' experience in a sales management, territory management or business development role.
n
- Proven experience managing dealer, distributor or channel partner networks.
n
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth and commercial objectives.
n
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business and financial principles.
n
- Strategic planning and business development capabilities.
n
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
n
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
n
- The ability to work independently and effectively manage a geographically dispersed territory.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
n
- Postgraduate business qualifications (MBA, Postgraduate Degree or Diploma).
n
- Marine industry experience.
n
- Experience working with OEMs, dealer networks or branded distribution channels.
n
n
Travel Requirements
n
n
- Regular travel throughout South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Victoria.
n
- Attendance at boat shows, trade exhibitions, dealer events and industry functions.
n
- Interstate travel as required.
n
- Occasional weekend work associated with customer and industry events.
n
