Accounts & Payroll Manager — Australian Manufacturer

Capital Design Works designs, manufactures and installs premium gaming-room furniture and fitouts for clubs, hotels and casinos across Australia — from our factory in Revesby. We're an established, growing business with modern systems, a top-tier external accounting firm behind us, and a genuine seat at the table for the right finance professional.

The role

n

You'll run the day-to-day finance operations end to end, reporting directly to the Managing Director:

n

- End-to-end weekly payroll for an award-covered workforce (STP, super, payroll tax)
n
- Accounts payable — invoice matching against POs, preparing weekly payment runs
n
- Job invoicing, progress claims and collections in simPRO
n
- Daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting across group entities in QuickBooks Online
n
- BAS/IAS preparation working with our external accountants (Pitcher Partners)
n
- Month-end close and a monthly management reporting pack with real commentary
n




- Job-costing and margin reporting on live manufacturing projects
n

This is a hands-on role with clean, modern controls: you prepare, the MD approves — so you're never carrying sole responsibility for company funds.

About you

n

n
- 3+ years running accounts in an SME — manufacturing, construction or trades ideal
n
- Confident with payroll for award-covered staff
n
- Solid on QuickBooks Online (or Xero/MYOB and quick to convert) and Excel
n
- Cert IV/Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or the experience to match
n
- Meticulous, discreet, deadline-driven — you find the discrepancy before anyone else does
n
- Bonus points for job-costing experience in a project environment
