Workforce Extensions is seeking an experienced Metal Worker / Steel Fabricator / Boilermaker to join a busy construction team based in Port Kembla, NSW.
n
This is a outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, takes pride in their workmanship and is looking for ongoing employment with the potential to secure a permanent position after a successful 3-month casual trial.

Metal Worker – Building & Construction
n
The Role
n
Starting from the Port Kembla depot each day, you'll travel with the team to various commercial construction sites across the region.
n
Your day-to-day duties will include:
n
n
- Structural steel installation and fabrication
n
- MIG welding and on-site metal repairs
n
- Measuring, cutting and assembling steel components
n
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
n
- Installing handrails, balustrades and fabricated steelwork
n
- Operating power and hand tools safely
n
- General construction and metalwork duties
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe worksite
n
- Working with the team to meet project deadlines
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and ready to get stuck in.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
- Previous experience as a Metal Worker, Steel Fabricator or Boilermaker
n
- Experience with MIG welding and general fabrication
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
n
- A current White Card
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- A good work ethic and reliable attendance
n
n
