Regional Victoria | Food Manufacturing | Senior Site Leadership

An established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at a large regional Victorian manufacturing site.

n

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will have responsibility for plant reliability, maintenance performance, minimising operational downtime and developing a strong preventative maintenance culture.

The Role

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Lead the site maintenance and engineering function
n
- Drive preventative maintenance and reliability improvement
n
- Minimise production downtime through effective maintenance planning and execution
n
- Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors, Planners and trades
n
- Improve maintenance schedules and address recurring equipment issues
n
- Manage maintenance expenditure, labour utilisation and key cost measures
n
- Ensure statutory inspections, audits and compliance requirements are met
n
- Identify opportunities to improve existing plant and future assets
n
- Lead capital projects from scoping and supplier selection through to installation and commissioning
n




- Partner with Operations and site leadership to support production and broader business objectives
n

About You

n

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

n

n
- Significant maintenance and engineering experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, processing or a similarly complex industrial environment
n
- Experience leading a site maintenance or engineering function
n
- Strong people leadership across trades and maintenance teams
n
- Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement
n
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital expenditure
n
- Experience delivering plant upgrades and capital projects
n
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance and statutory maintenance requirements
n
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, or a relevant technical/trade background combined with substantial maintenance leadership experience
n
