Role Description
The Machine Technical Services Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Eastwood, NSW with travel throughout Sydney, NSW and the ACT. This role involves providing technical support and consulting services for WHS engineered systems, including machine maintenance, equipment inspections, and coordination of repairs and replacements. The consultant may conducts audits of machinery, safety systems, first aid kits, PPE, and storage solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant WHS standards and organisational policies. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting technical issues,
advising clients on safety improvements, documenting commissioning and maintenance activities, and preparing reports, SOPs, and asset records. The role also requires participation in activities such as equipment installation, repositioning of machines, and implementation of WHS and compliance solutions tailored to client needs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with WHS engineered systems and machinery.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret audit findings, assess risks, and recommend effective safety and compliance solutions.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills to advise clients on WHS best practices, compliance strategies, and tailored technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills to coordinate installations, maintenance activities, and WHS implementation projects from planning to completion.
- Relevant qualifications in WHS, engineering, technical trades, or a related discipline are beneficial, along with experience in industrial, education, or manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, standards, and compliance requirements, and the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work safely on-site, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Working with Children Checks, Police Checks and Tag and Test would be beneficial.
