Salary- $102,936 -$113,579 plus super, and leave loading (Clerk Grade 5/6)
Employment type- Talent Pool Creation - A talent pool will be created for future ongoing and temporary roles within the 24hr Lodgement & Processing Unit and is valid for a period of up to 18 months
Locations – Francis Greenway Complex, Windsor

Lodgements and processing unit provides opportunity to work outside the traditional 9-5; this role operates within 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service workplace, with staff working a rotating roster that includes day, evening, overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts.
Your role
As a Senior Sentence Management Officer, you will lead and support a team who perform critical operational functions that directly support the lawful detention and release of persons from detention, which will include the review and application of verification processes. Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will combine leadership, legislative interpretation and problem-solving skills to ensure critical administrative processes are completed with precision, integrity and professionalism.

What You’ll Do
You will coordinate and oversee sentence management operations, providing guidance and support to team members while ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and procedures. You will manage complex matters, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, respond to enquiries and work closely with a range of stakeholders. Through your expertise, you will help drive service delivery,
improve processes and ensure operational outcomes are achieved safely, accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a resilient and proactive professional with experience in a legal, court, tribunal, or justice-related environment. You will be a natural leader who can support and guide others while effectively managing competing priorities, complex matters, and strict deadlines.
Your exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to analyse information will enable you to make informed decisions in a fast-paced operational setting. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is a commitment to delivering high-quality services with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
You are highly organised and thrive in a structured environment where accuracy, confidentiality, and procedural compliance are critical. You will bring experience in legal administration, court operations, case management, records management, compliance, or a similar setting, along with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, legal documentation, and complex procedures. Experience working with sensitive matters and diverse stakeholders will be highly regarded.
