Do you know your suction line from your liquid line?
n Can you tell the difference between a flare that's "good enough" and one that will have you back on site at 6pm Friday?
n
Then we might be looking for you.
n
Forget the boring job ads telling you we're looking for a "agile, highly motivated individual seeking an exciting opportunity in a fast-paced environment."
n
We're looking for an HVAC/R tradie who knows how to get the job done properly.
n
For over 20 years, our company has built a strong reputation for delivering quality HVAC solutions across Newcastle, Maitland and the greater Hunter Region. We're continuing to grow and are looking for an HVAC Installer to join our team.
n
YOUR MISSION
n
We're looking for someone who enjoys installation work, takes pride in their workmanship and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
n
You'll be installing air conditioning systems across:
n
n
- Residential homes
n
- Office spaces
n
- Nursing homes and aged care facilities
n
- Schools and educational facilities
n
n
You'll be expected to:
n
n
- Install domestic and light commercial air conditioning systems
n
- Install pipework, electrical components, drains and associated equipment
n
- Complete installations safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Maintain a quality finish and professional presentation
n
- Work alongside installers, technicians and apprentices
n
- Follow manufacturer specifications and company procedures
n
- Treat customers' homes and commercial premises with respect
n
- Keep the job site looking like a tradesperson has been there - not a cyclone
n
n
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
n
We're not necessarily looking for the guy with 15 years' experience, a tool belt worth more than his car and an encyclopaedic knowledge of every air conditioner ever manufactured.
n
We're looking for the right person.
n
You should:
n
n
- Have completed an HVAC/R apprenticeship or have relevant industry experience
n
- Have some experience with domestic and/or light commercial installations
n
- Take pride in your workmanship
n
- Have a good work ethic and positive attitude
n
- Be reliable and punctual
n
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Have good communication skills
n
- Be willing to learn and develop your skills (who knows – a progression path to advance further could be on the cards for the right person)
n
- Hold a current driver's licence
n
n
THE BORING BUT IMPORTANT STUFF
n
Because we work in schools, aged care facilities and other sensitive environments, you will need to already hold, or be able to successfully obtain and maintain, the required credentials.
n
These include:
n
n
- Relevant trade qualifications, or the ability to successfully obtain the required qualifications
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Satisfactory National Police Check (this one is a must)
n
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to successfully obtain one (this one is a must)
n
n
Basically, we need you to be legal, licensed and allowed near the equipment.
n
If you don't currently hold one of the required checks or credentials but can successfully obtain it, we're happy to consider you.
n
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
n
n
- Long-term employment with an established local HVAC company (we're not going anywhere)
n
- Variety of domestic and light commercial installation work
n
- Supportive team environment
n
- Training and development opportunities
n
- Prospect to build your installation experience
n
- Competitive remuneration based on experience and capability
n
- Career progression as the company continues to grow
n
- A team that appreciates good workmanship and a good attitude
n
n
Bring your tools. Bring your work ethic. Bring your sense of humour.
n
Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys. If you see something suspicious, report this job ad .
