Our client is an established architectural practice with approximately 25 professionals and a portfolio of over 600 completed projects across Australia. The business also operates a dedicated project management division, delivering client-side project management services for high-end residential developments across Sydney.

They are now looking for an Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager to join the team.
n
This opportunity would particularly suit someone with 2+ years of Australian architectural experience who understands drawings, documentation and residential projects, but is looking to transition into the construction and project delivery side of the industry.
n
You will work alongside an experienced Client-side Project Manager and gain hands‐on exposure to the delivery of luxury custom homes, duplexes, townhouses and other architecturally designed residential projects.

The Role
n
n
- Coordinate high-end residential projects during the construction phase
n
- Liaise between clients, builders, architects and consultants
n
- Attend client meetings, site meetings and project coordination meetings
n
- Review construction drawings and coordinate design and construction queries
n
- Manage and coordinate RFIs between builders and consultants
n
- Assist with builder tender processes and contractor coordination
n
- Gain exposure to variations, progress claims and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments
n
- Monitor project progress,
programme milestones and key deliverables
n
- Maintain project records, meeting minutes and construction documentation
n
- Assist in ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and design intent
n

About You
n
n
- 2+ years of Australian experience in Architecture, Architectural Design or a related field
n
- Ideally experienced in residential projects
n
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and documentation
n
- Exposure to site coordination, consultant coordination or construction-stage projects is highly regarded
n
- Previous Contract Administration, Assistant PM or Project Management experience is advantageous, but not essential
n
- Genuine interest in transitioning from Architecture into Project Management / Project Delivery
n
- Organised, detail-oriented and confident coordinating multiple stakeholders
n
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills are required, due to regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders
n
- Australian driver's licence preferred
