Waste Truck Drivers - Side Loader

Are you an experienced HR Driver with hands‐on experience operating Side Loaders?

Working in local government waste management offers structured day shifts, local routes, and well‐maintained modern fleets.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Operating side‐loader collection vehicles for residential wheelie bin services (kerbside waste, recycling, and organic green waste).
n
- Conducting daily vehicle pre‐start checks, defect reporting,



and maintaining fleet cleanliness.
n
- Navigating established council collection routes safely and efficiently using onboard technology/maps.
n
- Adhering strictly to council safety procedures, route schedules, and pedestrian safety protocols.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Licence: Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence (or higher) with a clean driving record.
n
- Experience: Proven experience operating Side Loader waste collection trucks.
n
- Safety First: Strong commitment to WHS, site risk assessment, and safe heavy vehicle operations.
n
- Availability: Ideal start in end of August
