About the Role
n
We are seeking an experiencedSecurity Installation Technicianto install, commission, service and maintain integrated electronic security solutions.
n
Working across commercial, government, defence, healthcare, data centre and critical infrastructure sites, you will deliver high-quality technical outcomes while maintaining strong standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
n
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience withGallagher Command Centreand enterprise CCTV platforms such asGenetec Security Center, Omnicast and Milestone.
n
What You'll be Doing
n
n
- Installing, programming and commissioning electronic security systems.
n
- Deploying Gallagher Access Control solutions, including Controller 6000 Series controllers, readers, inputs/outputs and associated hardware.
n
- Installing and configuring CCTV systems, including IP cameras, recording infrastructure, video management software and network devices.
n
- Working with Genetec Security Center, Omnicast and Milestone CCTV platforms.
n
- Conducting system testing, fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs.
n
- Completing preventive and corrective maintenance.
n
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and security system designs.
n
- Completing commissioning reports, service records and as-built documentation.
n
- Installing and testing Cat5e/Cat6 and fibre optic cabling.
n
- Supporting system upgrades, migrations and technology-refresh programs.
n
- Liaising with project managers, customers, subcontractors and end users.
n
- Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements, Australian Standards, customer specifications and company procedures.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
- Demonstrated experience installing, commissioning and maintaining integrated electronic security systems.
n
- Solid Gallagher Command Centre experience, including programming, controller configuration and credential management.
n
- Experience with Genetec Security Center, Omnicast and/or Milestone CCTV.
n
- Knowledge of IP cameras, network video recorders, recording platforms and video analytics.
n
- Experience with intruder detection, alarm monitoring and intercom systems.
n
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP networking, network switches and equipment commissioning.
n
- Structured cabling experience, including Cat5e/Cat6 and fibre.
n
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
n
- Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills.
n
- A commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship.
n
n
Essential Licences and Qualifications
n
n
- Current NV1 Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
n
- Current Security Installer Licence.
n
- Current Open Cabling Registration.
n
- Gallagher T1A Certification or equivalent Gallagher Command Centre experience.
n
- Construction White Card.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
- Working at Heights certification.
n
- EWP licence.
n
- Fibre optic termination and testing experience.
n
- Additional manufacturer certifications across CCTV, intrusion or networking platforms.
n
- Experience working within government, defence, data centre, healthcare or critical infrastructure environments.
n
n
Pre-Employment Requirements
n
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of a mandatory pre-employment Medical Assessment, Drug and Alcohol screening, and National Police Check. The successful applicant may also be required to obtain and maintain additional security clearances relevant to the role.
