We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Bletchley Park Primary School (PS), situated in Southern River, and first opened in February 2008. We are a very multi-cultural school and currently have approximately 670 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6).

The Role

As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you support students with a range of additional needs to access and engage in learning. Working under teacher direction, you assist in the delivery of education, communication, sensory, behavioural and personal care programs that support student success.

Suitable applicants should ideally have experience supporting students with complex needs, including students requiring assistance with communication, sensory regulation and engagement in learning. Current Team Teach training, or a willingness to undertake Team Teach training, is highly desirable. You will build positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for learning, wellbeing and inclusion.

We are seeking applicants who can show a growth mindset, are receptive to feedback, and are committed to continuous improvement. Solid interpersonal skills,



emotional regulation and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team culture, maintain professional relationships, and support co-regulation strategies for students is highly regarded.

Highly effective applicants will display strong interpersonal skills, emotional self‑awareness and the ability to remain calm, consistent and responsive when supporting students with complex needs. Eligibility

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
