Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced APS6 Clinician to join Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling in the Hervey Bay area.

What you will be required to do:
n
As an APS6 Clinician, you will provide professional clinical services within Open Arms, supporting veterans and their families and contributing to positive outcomes for clients.
n
The role will involve:
n
n
- Providing high-quality counselling and clinical support to eligible veterans and their families.
n
- Assessing client needs and developing appropriate therapeutic approaches and support strategies.
n
- Building strong, professional relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders.
n
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
n
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other service providers to support client outcomes.
n
- Applying professional judgement and clinical expertise to complex client matters.
n
- Contributing to a safe, respectful and client-focused workplace.
n
- Working in accordance with relevant legislation, professional standards, departmental policies and procedures.
n
n
To be successful in the role you will:
n
n
- Have relevant qualifications and professional experience in counselling, psychology, social work or a related discipline.
n
- Hold current professional registration/accreditation where applicable, such as AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA.
n
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and counselling skills.
n
- Have experience working with clients experiencing complex or challenging circumstances.
n
- Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
n
- Be able to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- Demonstrate sound judgement, professionalism and a high level of attention to detail.
n
- Be committed to providing a trauma-informed, client-centred service.
n
- Be an Australian citizen, as required for employment in the Australian Public Service.
n
- Be able to successfully complete a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
n
