As an Engineering Intern, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, design and delivery of engineering solutions across a range our coastal, maritime, structures and civil teams. Working within a cooperative team, you'll gain exposure to industry leading projects while developing practical technical and professional skills.
n
This paid internship runs from December 2026 to February 2027 and is designed to provide meaningful, real-world experience and help prepare you for a successful career in engineering.

About the Role:
n
As an Engineering Intern, you will:
n
n
- Work under the supervision of experienced engineers across our coastal, maritime, structures and civil teams.
n
- Support the preparation of engineering calculations, technical documentation, and project deliverables on engineering projects across Australia.
n
- Undertake research, data analysis, and technical investigations to support project delivery.
n
- Gain exposure to a variety of infrastructure projects and develop a strong understanding of engineering design principles.
n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to solving real engineering challenges.
n
- Learn and apply engineering principles, Australian Standards and industry best practice.
n
- Develop your technical and professional skills through mentoring and hands‐on project experience.
n
n
About You:
n
You will be a motivated and enthusiastic Civil, Structural or related Engineering student currently in your penultimate or final year of study.
n
You will have:
n
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
n
- A deep care for those you work with;
n
- A strong analytical mind;
n
- Attention to detail with a systems and governance mindset;
n
- Willingness to learn and develop your technical and professional skills;
n
- Enjoy being creative and thinking of new ways of doing things;
n
- Exposure to engineering software relevant to your discipline (e.g. AutoCAD, SpaceGass, MATLAB, Python, QGIS or similar); and
n
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals gained through university coursework.
