The prospect
n
Join our Economic Regulation team and play a leading role in shaping GWW's regulatory strategy, pricing outcomes and future financial sustainability.
n
As Senior Analyst, Regulatory & Pricing, you will be a trusted technical adviser responsible for leading complex regulatory, pricing and financial modelling activities that support GWW's regulatory submissions, pricing decisions and strategic objectives. This is a highly analytical role requiring strong commercial judgement, economic reasoning and advanced modelling capability.

You will take ownership of key regulatory workstreams, develop and maintain sophisticated pricing and financial models, provide evidence-based advice on complex regulatory matters and influence executive and Board-level decision-making. Working closely with Finance, Asset Planning, Strategy and senior stakeholders, you'll translate complex data into actionable insights that support customer, financial and regulatory outcomes.

This role is suited to candidates from economics, finance, quantitative or engineering backgrounds who enjoy solving complex problems, building robust models and working independently in a technically demanding environment.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead the development, maintenance and assurance of complex regulatory, pricing and financial models.
n
- Deliver end-to-end regulatory and price submission workstreams, including modelling, analysis, stakeholder engagement and reporting.
n
- Provide economic, pricing and regulatory advice to support strategic and operational decision-making.
n
- Lead annual retail price updates and support the development of pricing policies, tariffs and regulatory submissions.
n
- Develop scenario analysis, forecasts and financial impact assessments to support regulatory strategy.
n
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across regulatory modelling and analytical activities.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- Advanced financial modelling capability in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to independently build and maintain complex models from first principles.
n
- Strong background in economics, finance, pricing, regulatory analysis or other quantitative disciplines.
n
- Experience analysing large and complex datasets and translating findings into practical recommendations and decision-ready advice.
n
- Demonstrated experience working within a regulated industry, regulator or consulting environment supporting regulated sectors.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, Engineering or another quantitative discipline (highly desirable).
