This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Head of Operations to join a privately owned, national distribution business based in their Canning Vale, WA Head Office, supplying specialised parts and components to customers throughout Australia.

The business is entering a period of significant growth, with new branches, a planned East Coast distribution centre and an expanding base of key accounts. This role is central to that growth, with responsibility for warehouse and branch operations, supply chain and inventory strategy, and customer fulfilment nationally, while maintaining the same-day dispatch and stock availability the business is known for.

Reporting to the General Manager and forming part of the Leadership Team, this is a senior leadership position leading through a team of managers, including the Supply Chain Manager, Customer Service Manager and Branch Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own same-day dispatch and stock availability across all branches nationally
- Manage product margin and COGS performance to budget while maintaining service levels
- Own supply chain, inventory and COGS strategy, including stock levels, turns and sourcing
- Oversee post-PO customer fulfilment, including DIFOT and case resolution
- Build operational capacity ahead of growth,



including current branches, an East Coast distribution centre and key account onboarding without sacrificing service capabilities
- Strengthen supply resilience through alternative sourcing and manage freight, logistics and supplier performance
- Lead and develop a team of operations managers, drive process and standardisation across Operations, and oversee WHS across the business

Key Requirements:

- Proven multi-site distribution and/or warehouse leadership experience
- Strong supply chain and inventory management background, with financial understanding and business acumen across fill rate, stock turns, COGS and margins
- Track record in a same-day or high-velocity dispatch environment
- A demonstrated success for improving COGS and gross margin performance
- Experience managing supplier, freight and logistics relationships
- Proven experience implementing process and standardisation, with strong people leadership and commercial acumen at a leadership team level
