About the Role

n

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care across the perioperative journey.

n

Depending on your experience and skills, you may work across:

n

n
- Pre-Admissions and Admissions
n
- Scrub/Scout Nursing
n
- Anaesthetic Nursing
n
- Recovery (PACU)
n
- Other perioperative duties as required
n

n

You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and fellow healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and patient-focused care.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n




- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in accordance with professional standards and best practice
n
- Support patients throughout their surgical journey
n
- Participate in patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
n
- Monitor patient wellbeing and respond appropriately to clinical changes
n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
n
- Participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities
n
- Promote infection prevention and control practices
n
- Contribute to a safe and positive workplace culture
n
- Support and mentor less experienced team members where appropriate
n
- Participate in ongoing education, training and professional development
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Perioperative nursing experience in one or more of the following areas:n n
- Operating Theatre
n
- Scrub/Scout
n
- Anaesthetics
n
- Recovery
n

n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
n
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
n
- Understanding of:n

n
- Infection Prevention and Control principles
