Potting Nursery Worker, Nursery Packing and Disbatch Workers , Plant Maintenance

Join our production team and assist with potting, planting and moving nursery stock into growing areas. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, works well in a team and takes pride in meeting daily production targets.

Packing and Dispatch Worker

n

Join our packing team and help prepare quality plants for customer orders. Responsibilities include selecting, cleaning, labelling and loading plants while ensuring orders are completed accurately and presented to a high standard.

n

Help maintain healthy, high‐quality plants throughout our nursery. This diverse outdoor role includes watering, pruning, spacing, weeding, fertilising and monitoring plants for pests, diseases and general quality.

Key responsibilities

n

Potting:

n

Potting plants using machinery and manual methods

n

Planting accurately and consistently

n

Loading and unloading plants from the potting line

n

Moving plants into growing areas

n

Following daily production targets

n

Keeping the potting area clean and organised

n

Following workplace health and safety procedures

n

Packing and Dispatch:

n

Selecting plants to match customer orders

n

Cleaning, presentation pruning and preparing plants for sale

n

Labelling, barcoding and pricing plants accurately

n

Loading plants safely onto racks and trolleys

n





Assisting with loading and unloading delivery vehicles

n

Completing orders accurately and within daily targets

n

Keeping packing and dispatch areas clean and organised

n

Watering and monitoring nursery stock

n

Pruning, trimming, spacing and staking plants

n

Weeding pots and growing areas

n

Applying fertilisers and other plant treatments as directed

n

Monitoring plants for pests, diseases and quality issues

n

Removing damaged or unsaleable plants

n

Moving and consolidating nursery stock

n

Keeping growing areas clean, safe and organised

n

Assisting with stocktakes and plant counts

n

About you

n

Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport

n

Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual work

n

Able to lift pots, trays, bags, plants and equipment safely

n

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

n

Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions

n

Able to work effectively as part of a team

n

Willingness to learn plant care and nursery procedures

n

Able to follow chemical safety and workplace procedures

n

Experience using potting machinery

n

Plant identification knowledge

n

Experience using scanners, barcodes or order‐picking systems

n

Knowledge of plant identification and general plant care

n

Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control licence or chemical‐handling certificate

n
