Job Description

We are looking for a practical, mechanically minded General Technician – Field, Workshop & Sales Support to join our team.

n

Our business primarily supplies diggers, earthmoving equipment and machinery, along with a range of plant equipment and food trailers.

n

This is a varied, hands‐on role combining workshop work, field service, customer repairs and sales support.

n

The Role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Pre-delivery inspections and commissioning of new diggers, machinery and equipment
n
- Mechanical assembly, servicing, adjustments and repairs
n
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and operational faults
n
- Attending customers' businesses and worksites to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment
n
- Completing field-service and warranty repairs
n
- Quality‐control checks prior to customer delivery
n
- Preparing machinery, plant and food trailers for delivery or collection
n
- Supporting the Sales Manager with showroom and equipment presentation
n
- Assisting with customer demonstrations, inspections and handovers
n
- Providing practical and technical support to the sales team
n
- Completing sales deliveries to customers where required
n
- Assisting with container unloading, loading and equipment movements
n
- Local and interstate travel when required
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has strong mechanical aptitude and problem‐solving skills
n
- Has experience with earthmoving equipment, machinery, plant, automotive or similar
n
- Is confident diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
n
- Can work independently in the workshop and at customer sites
n
- Is comfortable dealing directly with customers
n
- Takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail
n
- Is reliable, organised and safety focused
n
- Is willing to travel when required
n

n

Experience with diggers, loaders, earthmoving machinery, hydraulics, diesel equipment, plant or food trailers would be highly regarded.

n

The Position

n

n
- Full time – 40 hours per week
n
- 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday
n
- Varied workshop, field‐service and sales‐support position
n
- Work across a broad range of machinery and equipment
n

n

We're looking for someone who can identify a problem, diagnose the issue and get the job completed properly, while representing the business professionally with our customers.
