- Lead the strategic planning cycle for the power business
n
- Shape divisional plans, performance measures and strategic priorities supporting long‐term growth
n
- Drive prioritisation of power opportunities through portfolio frameworks
n
- Ensure capital is allocated to initiatives with the greatest strategic and commercial value
n
- Partner with senior leaders on Energy Solutions' long‐term power development strategy
n
- Provide insights on market trends, industry dynamics and emerging opportunities
n
- Develop business cases for organic growth initiatives and critical investment decisions
n
- Prepare high‐quality analysis, board papers and executive‐level presentations
n
- Influence business decisions and foster continuous improvement across portfolio governance and decision‐making forums
n
- Provide analytical leadership and specialist support across power investment opportunities
n

Requirements

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in economics, commerce, engineering or a related discipline
n
- At least 5 years' relevant experience, ideally in the energy sector
n
- Significant experience in strategy, portfolio analytics, investments or the energy sector
n
- Strong portfolio management capabilities
n
- Ability to develop priorities and frameworks supporting long‐term business strategies
n
- Exposure to the National Electricity Market (NEM) and/or Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM)
n
- Understanding of market dynamics shaping Australia's energy transition
n




- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders and cross‐functional teams
n
- Strong commercial acumen
n
- Exposure to assessing investment opportunities
n
- Understanding of power purchase agreements
n
- Experience working within wholesale electricity markets or broader energy businesses
n
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
n
- Subject to background vetting, including police checks, before and during employment
n
