Cyber Security Architect – 12-Month Contract

Location: Sydney Contract: 12 months Program: Risk Uplift Program

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join a significant Cyber Risk Uplift Program of Work on an initial 12-month contract.

n

The role will sit across three key workstreams: Network Segmentation, Identity and Cyber Hardening, helping to uplift the organisation's overall cyber security posture and address key security risks across the technology environment.

n

This is a hands-on architecture role where you'll work closely with cyber security, infrastructure, network, identity and technology teams to define and deliver practical security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide cyber security architecture expertise across a major risk uplift program.
n
- Lead architecture activities across network segmentation, identity and cyber hardening.
n
- Develop security architecture, technical designs and implementation patterns.
n
- Support the design and delivery of network segmentation and Zero Trust initiatives.
n
- Provide architecture guidance across IAM, privileged access and identity security.
n
- Define and implement cyber hardening strategies across infrastructure, cloud and endpoint environments.
n
- Assess existing security controls and identify opportunities to remediate security risks.
n
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to embed security requirements into solutions.
n
- Translate cyber risk and security requirements into practical technical outcomes.
n




- Engage with senior technical and business stakeholders across the program.
n

About You

n

You will be an experienced Cyber Security Architect / Security Architect with a strong background in cyber transformation, security uplift or risk remediation programs.

n

Ideally, you will bring experience across several of the following:

n

- Cyber Security Architecture
n
- Network Segmentation
n
- Zero Trust
n
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
n
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
n
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
n
- Network and infrastructure security
n
- Cyber security hardening and uplift
n
- Cloud Security – Azure and/or AWS
n
- Endpoint Security / EDR
n
- Vulnerability Management
n
- Security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001 and/or CIS
n
- Security architecture and technical design
n

n

You don't need to be an expert across every domain. We're particularly interested in candidates with strong network segmentation and/or identity architecture experience, combined with broader cyber security architecture and security uplift experience.

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Architect, Security Architect or similar.
n
- Experience delivering cyber risk, security uplift or transformation programs.
n
- Robust understanding of enterprise security architecture principles.
n
- Ability to translate cyber risks into practical technical solutions.
n
- Experience operating across complex enterprise technology environments.
n
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
- Ability to work across multiple concurrent workstreams and delivery teams.
