Job Description

We're partnering with a highly regarded, purpose-led organisation to appoint a Head of Technology Product Management to lead and uplift an established Technology Product function. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on people leadership, platform strategy and getting greater value from existing technology investments. You'll lead a team of Technology Product Managers and Specialists while establishing a consistent approach to how internal technology platforms are managed across their full lifecycle.

The Role

- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Technology Product Managers and Product Specialists
n
- Building capability and moving the team from reactive delivery towards more strategic Product Management
n
- Establishing a consistent Product operating model across multiple technology platforms
n
- Developing clear platform strategies and roadmaps
n
- Driving effective backlog management, prioritisation and delivery tracking
n
- Managing technology platforms across their full lifecycle - from investment and optimisation through to upgrades, versioning and retirement
n
- Ensuring platforms remain fit for purpose, secure, compliant and delivering value
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve integration, introduce automation and extract greater value from existing platforms
n
- Working closely with Architecture, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and Technology Delivery
n




- Building strong relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders
n
- Managing key technology vendors and supporting platform investment and funding decisions
n
- Taking direct ownership of a technology platform alongside your broader leadership responsibilities.

Key Skills & Experience:

n

n
- Experience leading and developing Product Managers / Technology Product Managers
n
- A background in Product Management yourself, before progressing into leadership
n
- A track record of improving Product capability, structure and ways of working
n
- Experience building or maturing a Product operating model
n
- Solid experience across Product strategy, roadmaps, backlogs and prioritisation
n
- Understanding of the full technology platform lifecycle
n
- Experience working across governance, risk, security and compliance
n
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence across Technology and the broader business
n
- Commercial capability across investment, vendors and technology value
n
- The ability to challenge existing thinking and ask whether platforms are genuinely delivering the value they should
n
- A practical, delivery-focused approach and willingness to remain close to the detail
n

Experience within banking, financial services or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
