Positive Control Electrics is an electrical contracting company based in Melbourne's South-Eastern Suburbs with a team of approximately 25–30 staff. We specialise in delivering high-quality electrical solutions within the manufacturing sector, including maintenance and project works.

As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Operations Manager / Estimator to join our leadership team and help support the next stage of growth.

About the Role

n

This is a key leadership position within the business, responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff and schedules, and coordinating projects.

n

Working closely with the business owner, you will play an important role in ensuring the business runs efficiently, customers are well supported, and the team operates productively.

n

This role is suited to someone with strong industry experience who is looking to step into a senior operational position within a supportive and established business.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors
n
- Schedule labour and allocate resources across projects and service works
n
- Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions
n




- Oversee project delivery, timelines, and quality outcomes
n
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors
n
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability
n
- Assist with workflow planning and operational improvements
n
- Support and mentor field staff
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures
n
- Assist with the day-to-day management and growth of the business
n
- Help oversee operations when the owner is unavailable
n

About You

n

- 5+ years' experience in electrical operations, project management
n
- Strong understanding of both project and service work environments
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- Solid leadership and people management abilities
n
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities
n
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
n
- An electrical trade background is highly regarded
n
