About the Opportunity

n

We are seeking a Category Coordinator to support key category initiatives across a high‐impact portfolio.

n

Partnering closely with the Category Manager, you'll assist with range reviews, pricing, promotions, and supplier coordination, helping to deliver effective category outcomes in a fast‐paced environment.

In this Role

n

n
- Support the Category Manager in delivering retail sales and income budgets, identifying opportunities to improve COGS and overall category performance
n
- Assist with day‐to‐day category operations, including sourcing, pricing, promotions, costing, and supplier management activities
n
- Manage category promotional activity through MetProms, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
n
- Review and process category documentation via the MDG process in line with required timelines, including promotions, new lines, pricing changes, supplier updates, and product amendments
n
- Analyse sales and income performance,



providing insights on suppliers and competitor activity to support opportunities for Metcash and Retailers
n

You're Likely a Match If

n

n
- Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of how it drives success within Category Management
n
- Experience in, or a robust understanding of, Retail and/or FMCG environments
n
- Sound knowledge of Category Management principles, including the 4Ps and Shopper Insights
n
- Strong analytical capability, with experience using Excel and exposure to tools such as Power BI, CRMs/planning tools, and Circana (or similar industry platforms)
n
- Customer‐focused and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence internal and external stakeholders within a matrix environment
n
