Surgical Assistant — Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

Brisbane | 3 days per week | Casual, $80–$120/hour

A Brisbane-based plastic reconstructive is seeking a motivated surgical assistant to work alongside the surgeon across a varied operating list.

The role

n

n
- $80–$120 per hour, based on skill level and training
n
- Theatre-based assisting across plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery cases
n

n

What you'll do

n

n
- Assist intraoperatively — retraction, exposure, tissue handling, instrument work
n
- Sterile preparation and draping
n
- Independent suturing and wound closure
n
- Maintain sterile technique and theatre flow throughout the list
n

n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Medical or nursing background (essential)
n
- Demonstrated surgical assisting experience
n
- Confident sewing independently
n
- Versatile with scheduling and adaptable to list changes
n
- Motivated, reliable, and genuinely interested in surgical work
n
