The Radiotherapy Service Manager position is a senior role within the Directorate Management Team, tasked with leading the operational and professional aspects of the Radiotherapy Department. The successful candidate will ensure the provision of a protected, effective, and high-quality radiotherapy service that adheres to national standards and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing operational and professional leadership for the radiotherapy service.
- Ensuring compliance with national standards and regulatory requirements for patient care.
- Managing service performance, workforce, budget, and resources effectively.
- Developing and implementing policies, protocols, and service improvements.
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Radiotherapy studies or an equivalent qualification.
- A postgraduate qualification at ‘M’ level or progress towards it.
- Specialist knowledge in radiotherapy relevant to the NHS cancer agenda.
- Experience in financial management and business planning.
- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for decisions.
- Resilience under pressure and capability to handle stressful situations.
- A strong commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Benefits of this role include a competitive salary between £66,582 and £77,368 per year, a permanent contract, full-time working hours, and opportunities for professional development in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This position is based at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust, located at UHNM Newcastle Road, Newcastle under Lyme, ST4 6QG, United Kingdom.
