As Bar Manager, you'll take responsibility for the overall day-to-day operation of Crafty Cargo Taphouse & Sports Bar. You'll be on the floor, behind the bar, talking to customers, leading the team and making sure the venue is running the way it should. This is a hands-on, full-time position where you'll take ownership of the venue's daily operations, lead the team and work closely with the owners to continue growing and improving the business.

- Lead, motivate and manage the bar and hospitality team
n
- Create rosters and effectively manage labour costs
n
- Recruit, onboard and train team members
n
- Set and maintain high standards of customer service
n
- Manage stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships
n
- Complete stocktakes and control wastage
n
- Monitor beverage margins and help improve venue profitability
n
- Manage opening and closing procedures
n
- Handle cash, POS procedures and reconciliations
n
- Ensure the venue is clean, organised and presented to a high standard
n

About the Candidate

n

n
- Previous experience managing or supervising a busy bar, pub, club or hospitality venue
n
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- Experience with rostering and labour management
n
- Knowledge of beverage stock control, ordering and stocktakes
n
- Good understanding of margins, wastage and the commercial side of hospitality
n
- Confidence managing busy services and large sporting events
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
n
- Current RSA, RMLV and relevant Queensland hospitality requirements
n
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required
n
