Lead / Senior Control Systems Engineer – Adelaide, SA

Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 + super | Package negotiable based on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our client's team in Adelaide, South Australia.

n

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced control systems professional looking to take on a senior technical role, working across industrial projects and playing a key role in the design, development, commissioning and delivery of control systems solutions.

n

The Role

n

As a Lead / Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across control systems engineering projects, working closely with clients, project teams and other engineering disciplines.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and delivering control systems engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.
n
- Developing and reviewing control system architectures, functional specifications and engineering documentation.
n
- PLC, SCADA and DCS programming and configuration.
n
- Control system design, testing and commissioning.
n
- Fault finding, troubleshooting and optimisation of control systems.
n
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
n
- Working closely with electrical, instrumentation and other engineering disciplines.
n
- Liaising with clients and providing technical support throughout project delivery.
n
- Participating in FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities.
n




- Ensuring engineering work is completed to the required technical, safety and quality standards.
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who has strong technical capability and is comfortable taking ownership of projects and providing leadership to others.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
n
- Significant experience in control systems engineering within an industrial environment.
n
- Strong experience with PLC, SCADA and/or DCS systems.
n
- Experience with control system design, programming, testing and commissioning.
n
- Experience working on industrial automation projects.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a wider engineering team.
n
- Previous experience in a Lead, Senior or Technical Lead capacity would be highly regarded.
n
