Human Resources Generalist / Business Partner - Parental Leave Cover

- Provide proactive support and accurate advice to employees and managers on HR procedures, recruitment, employment law, and employee relations.
n
- Serve as a trusted partner on issues such as absence management, conflict resolution, and termination processes.
n
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to support initiatives that enhance employee wellbeing and engagement.
n

Policy & Compliance

n

n
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and supplier contracts in line with current legislation and company philosophy. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal standards.
n
- Manage contract documentation, standard templates and information accuracy
n

n

Benefits Management

n

n
- Provide guidance and implement benefits programs such as superannuation, private health care, income protection, group life insurance, and other health and wellbeing schemes.
n
- Align benefits strategy with stakeholders and manage execution to mitigate risk.
n

n

HR Systems & Data Support

n

n
- Support and maintain HR systems and platforms (e.g. internal communication tools, employee portals,



and productivity systems such as FirstUp and the Productivity Portal).
n
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective use of systems to support decision-making.
n

n

Employee Experience / Lifecycle Ownership

n

n
- Contribute to onboarding and key employee lifecycle moments.
n

n

Change Management

n

- Support through organisational change, ensuring clear communication and employee support.
n

n

Learning & Development

n

- Support identification of development needs.

Projects & Initiatives

n

- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives that improve the workplace culture.

Qualifications

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent practical experience
n
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and practices, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and contemporary awards
n
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills
n
- Proven ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively
n
- Strong planning and organizational habits
n
