About the Role
n
Working within the Engineering function, the Electrical Superintendent will act as the site's Electrical Subject Matter Expert across a large and diverse asset base.
n
While there are no direct reports, you will provide technical direction and guidance to a team of electricians while partnering closely with Maintenance, Automation, Reliability and Operations.
n
The role combines electrical technical leadership, compliance, maintenance improvement and change management. Building credibility with the workforce will be equally as important as your technical knowledge.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Act as the site's Electrical SME and escalation point for complex electrical matters.
n
- Strengthen electrical governance, procedures, documentation and compliance.
n
- Provide technical guidance and direction to the electrical maintenance workforce.
n
- Ensure alignment with Australian electrical legislation, standards and safe working practices.
n
- Support maintenance and improvement activities across fixed and mobile plant.
n
- Provide technical leadership across HV and LV systems, switching and PLC-controlled equipment.
n
- Partner closely with Automation and broader Engineering teams on technical improvements.
n
- Identify gaps, establish priorities and develop a structured roadmap for electrical improvement.
n
- Support change management and embed sustainable maintenance practices across the operation.

The Ideal Candidate for This Position Will Have Experience in the Following:
n
n
- Electrical maintenance leadership within a complex, asset intensive environment.
n
- Solid knowledge of Australian electrical legislation, standards and compliance requirements.
n
- HV and LV systems and switching.
n
- PLC-controlled equipment, with Siemens experience advantageous but not essential.
n
- Fixed and/or mobile plant within mining, resources, heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
n
- Developing or improving electrical procedures, maintenance standards and governance frameworks.
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and change management capability.
n
- Electrical Engineering qualifications advantageous; however, experienced trade-qualified electrical professionals will also be considered.
