Wilken Service Pty Ltd is a well-established civil electrical contractor delivering Level 1 & Level 2 ASP works across Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy networks, as well as private HV infrastructure projects.

n

Due to continued growth in 2026, we are seeking experienced Cable Jointers with strong HV capability to join our team.

n

HV Substation experience is highly desirable and will be strongly regarded.

n

This role involves all aspects of High and Low Voltage cable jointing up to and including 22kV, across network and private HV projects.

n

About the Role

n

You will be involved in:

n

n
- HV & LV cable jointing up to 22kV
n
- Substation installation and fitting works
n
- Private HV infrastructure projects
n
- Street lighting and electrical infrastructure works
n
- Day, night and occasional weekend works as required
n
- White Card
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Distribution Cable Jointing) OR Equivalent
n
- Current or previous ASP1 / ASP2 accreditation
n
- Electrical Safety training for Ausgrid & Endeavour Energy authorisations
n
- Minimum 2+ years' experience as a Cable Jointer
n
- Strong understanding of WHS obligations
n
- Basic computer skills (tablet/laptop, Microsoft systems)
n




- Ability to travel when required
n
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical
n

Highly Regarded / Desirable

- HV Substation installation and fitting experience
n
- Level 2 qualifications and live work experience
n
- HV switching
n

What We Offer

- Full-time permanent position under EBA conditions
n
- $55–$65 per hour (dependent on experience)
n
- 40-hour week (2 hours accrued toward monthly RDO)
n
- Monthly RDO
n
- Overtime with penalty rates
n
- 4 weeks annual leave

- Long Service Leave (Portable LSL Corporation)

- PPE provided including safety boots and ARC-rated clothing
