The Team

Rosebery District School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school located on Tasmania's west coast. As one of only two schools in the region providing secondary education, it serves a community of around 1,000 people. As part of the West Coast Cluster, the school uses information and communication technologies to enhance learning opportunities and provide students with access to a comprehensive education. Rosebery is a historic mining town, with the MMG-operated mine remaining the major local employer and producing gold, lead, copper, and zinc.

About The Role

This role supports schools to improve student outcomes in reading and, where possible, numeracy by helping teachers implement evidence-based teaching practices and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The position provides coaching, professional learning, and data-driven support to strengthen classroom instruction, interventions, and consistent teaching practices across the school while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and child safety requirements.

We are looking for

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.

Desirable

- Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
