Selection will be made at the SAO2, /SP2 or N7 level depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to provide strategic leadership and senior operational management across Community Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services throughout the Top End.
Reporting as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director will lead innovative, responsive, and recovery-oriented Community Mental Health and AOD services, ensuring high-quality care that supports consumer recovery, rehabilitation, and wellbeing. This diverse portfolio includes Adult Community Mental Health, the Darwin Remote Team, Perinatal Mental Health Services, and Alcohol and Other Drugs services, including inpatient programs, the Opioid Pharmacotherapy Program (OPP), and Volatile Substance Abuse (VSA) services.
The successful candidate will:
Provide high-level leadership and management of Community Mental Health and AOD services within a recovery and rehabilitation framework.
Drive innovative and responsive service delivery across the Top End.
Actively contribute to the strategic direction of Top End Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (TEMHAODS)
as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture through exemplary leadership and role modelling.
Build solid partnerships and collaborate with government and non-government stakeholders to enhance service development and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with service quality standards, work health and safety requirements, and financial and human resource management policies.
