We are working with a well-established national construction business who are looking for a Contracts Officer to join its commercial team in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3+ years' commercial contracts experience who enjoys working across complex construction projects and wants to develop their career within a collaborative, high-performing team.
You’ll work closely with an experienced National Commercial Manager, supporting contract reviews, commercial negotiations and governance across a diverse portfolio of projects.
About the Role
This is a commercially focused role where you'll help manage contractual risk while partnering with project teams and stakeholders across the business to review contracts and mitigate risk.
You’ll be involved throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring documentation is compliant, commercial risks are identified early, and contract records are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction contracts and identify commercial and contractual risks
- Assist with contract negotiations and departures from standard agreements
- Support subcontractor and supplier contract reviews.
- Maintain contract registers and ensure documentation is accurately managed
- Provide commercial support and advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
- Assist in improving contract management processes and governance
- Work across multiple live construction projects and business divisions
About You
- 3+ years' experience in commercial contracts, financial contracts,construction lawor contracts administration
- Construction industry experience is highly regarded
- Robust understanding of contract review and commercial risk
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and Adobe and exposure to Bluebeam is advantageous
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a broader commercial team
