DRC Switchboards, a leader in electrical switchboard manufacturing, is expanding and we are on the lookout for a skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. As an Electrician you will be responsible for assembling, installing electrical components, busbars and wiring. The role will involve working with a variety of electrical components including wiring, circuit breakers, and metering. You will be required to interpret electrical drawings and specifications to assemble, test and maintain switchboards.

Skills:

n
- Proficient in interpreting electrical diagrams and technical drawings
n
- Robust knowledge of electrical principles and systems
n
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
n
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
n
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
n
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
n
- Busbar manufacturing experience
n
- Testing and maintenance experience
n
- Familiar with AS3000, AS61439 and the Victorian SIR's

Responsibilities:

n

n
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and instructions.
n
- Install various electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, meters, switches into switchboard enclosures.
n
- Connect wiring between components using tools such as crimpers or soldering irons.
n
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
n
- Troubleshoot any issues or defects identified during the assembly process.
n
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
n

Qualifications:

n

n
- Proven experience working as an Electrician within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
n
- Knowledge of relevant Australian electrical standards/regulations (AS/NZS 3000, AS61439 and the Victorian SIR's) is mandatory.
n
