Receptionist (Part-Time) | Greencross Vets Caloundra | Sunshine Coast, QLD

At Greencross Caloundra, we're looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our welcoming team on a part-time basis, working a minimum of 15 hours per week (approximately 3 days per week), with flexibility to work additional hours when the clinic requires extra support.

This role is ideal for an experienced receptionist who loves building relationships with clients, supporting a busy team, and being at the heart of a clinic's day-to-day operations.

About The Role
n
This is a part-time Receptionist position, offering a minimum of 15 hours per week, with additional hours available based on your availability and clinic requirements.
n
We're looking for someone who enjoys the reception side of veterinary practice and is happy working in a dedicated client service and administration role.
n
You'll be the heart of the client experience and an important part of keeping the clinic running smoothly.
n
Your Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
- Greeting clients and patients on arrival
n
- Answering phone calls and managing enquiries
n
- Booking appointments using our practice management system
n
- Processing payments and managing receipting
n
- Managing client emails and correspondence
n
- Preparing patient admission paperwork
n
- Completing general administrative duties
n
- Assisting with patient triage (training provided)
n
- Providing general advice regarding vaccinations, nutrition, and parasite prevention
n
- Preparing estimates for elective procedures
n
- Supporting the veterinary and nursing teams with day-to-day clinic operations
n
n

About You
n

- Has previous experience in a reception, administration, or customer service role
n
- Enjoys working in a client-focused environment
n
- Understands the importance of creating a positive first impression
n
- Enjoys building genuine relationships with clients and their pets
n
- Is looking for a reception-focused role rather than progression into veterinary nursing
n
- Is available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and can offer flexibility for additional shifts when required
n
- Is confident using computer systems and learning new software
n
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills
n
- Can manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
n
- Is reliable, accountable, and enjoys being part of a team

- Communicates clearly, professionally, and empathetically

- Takes initiative and enjoys helping others

Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related environment is highly regarded but not essential.
