finPOWER Connect is lending and deposit management software used by 400+ businesses across Australia and New Zealand. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our footprint in that market - owning the full sales cycle from self-generated prospecting through to close.

This is a hands-on, target-driven role with real autonomy: you build your own pipeline, run your own process, and see your numbers directly reflected in what you earn.

You'll be joining a small, close Sales & Marketing team (reporting to our Head of Sales & Marketing, alongside our Senior BDM and Marketing Executive) - not disappearing into a large sales floor. Backed by a global software group for stability, but the day-to-day decisions happen here, locally.

What you'll do

n

- Build and manage your own pipeline, hitting monthly targets through a mix of self-generated leads and warm leads from the team
n
- Run the full sales process end to end: prospecting, discovery meetings, proposals, negotiation, close
n
- Keep pipeline and conversion data accurate and current for sales reporting
n
- Track industry trends and competitor positioning,



and feed that back into how we sell and price
n
- Present and refine proposals for new business
n
- Contribute to marketing initiatives that build brand awareness and generate inbound leads
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- A track record in B2B sales or business development, with genuine prospecting experience - not just working leads handed to you
n
- Confidence running your own sales process: planning, presenting, negotiating, closing
n
- Strong communication skills and comfort owning a number
n
- Fintech, software, or financial services sales experience is a plus, not a requirement
n
