About The Role

The Traffic Management Officer (TMO) is responsible for processing of Memorandum of Authorisation (MOA) for Temporary Traffic Management applications, including undertaking assessments within the predefined timeframes and to standards, considering the planned events scheduled within the transport network and impact of individual and cumulative network impacts through events and temporary traffic management.

The Traffic Management Officer assesses and processes temporary traffic management and road reserve applications, ensuring they meet requirements and are completed within agreed timeframes. You will assess planned disruptions, consider their impact on the road network and recommend practical solutions to manage risks. You will provide advice and support to transport operators, project teams, government departments, customers and other stakeholders. Working collaboratively and using sound judgement, you will help balance customer needs with road safety and network efficiency. Success means well-managed disruptions, protected road assets, safe road operations and positive outcomes for stakeholders.

Qualifications And Experience

You’ll bring:

- Traffic Management Designer Qualifications (Desirable)
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Civil/Transport engineering or relevant experience (Mandatory)
