An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Adviser to join a growing financial services organisation based in Melbourne's North-West.
This is a key role for an Adviser who is commercially minded, relationship-focused and motivated by the opportunity to build and grow a significant client portfolio.
You will inherit an established portfolio valued at approximately $400,000-$600,000 in revenue, with the opportunity and expectation to grow this to $1 million+ over time.
You will work alongside an existing Servicing Adviser, complementing their technical and client servicing capabilities while taking ownership of client relationships, business development and portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of an established client portfolio and develop strong, long-term relationships.
- Grow an existing portfolio from approximately $400k-$600k to $1m+ in revenue.
- Actively identify and pursue new business and referral opportunities.
- Develop a strong network of professional referral partners, particularly within the organisation's accounting network.
- Convert referrals and new opportunities into lasting client relationships.
- Build a robust personal profile and visibility within the organisation and broader market.
- Collaborate closely with the existing Servicing Adviser to deliver a high-quality client experience.
- Provide strategic financial advice tailored to clients' individual circumstances and objectives.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and expand the overall client proposition.
- Contribute positively to an organisation undergoing a period of change and growth.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across advice, accounting and broader professional services teams.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Financial Adviser who is commercially driven, entrepreneurial and confident in business development.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Financial Adviser, ideally within a private wealth or professional services environment.
- A demonstrated ability to build and grow a client portfolio.
- Strong business development and relationship management capabilities.
- A genuine "hunter" mentality with the drive to generate new opportunities.
- Experience working with referral networks and professional partners.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence to build visibility and establish a strong internal and external profile.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively alongside a servicing/technical adviser.
- The resilience and adaptability to operate effectively within an organisation undergoing change.
- Relevant Australian financial advice qualifications and compliance requirements
