We're looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to join our Electrical Services team in Lidcombe. This is a hands‐on leadership role responsible for overseeing day‐to‐day field operations, supporting technicians and contractors, and ensuring safe, compliant and high‐quality delivery across our smart metering projects.
n
You'll combine strong technical expertise with people and operational leadership, helping our field teams deliver against client requirements, service levels and KPIs.
n
What you'll be doing
n
As a Field Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:
n
n
- Overseeing the daily field operations of BSA employees and contractors across assigned projects or regions
n
- Providing on‐site technical support, guidance and supervision to field technicians and contractors
n
- Conducting quality and documentation checks to ensure work meets BSA and client standards
n
- Monitoring field performance against agreed service levels and KPIs
n
- Providing solutions to complex technical issues and failed or incomplete field visits
n
- Keeping the Operations Manager informed of daily operational matters, including workforce availability and absences
n
- Proactively communicating delays, issues and operational impacts to relevant stakeholders
n
- Communicating with clients on behalf of BSA and supporting strong client relationships
n
- Supporting the onboarding of contractors and providing assistance with technical training
n
- Managing workforce availability, capacity, stock distribution and field materials
n
- Identifying deficiencies and implementing or recommending corrective actions
n
- Ensuring company procedures are implemented effectively and identifying opportunities for improvement
n
- Responding to customer complaints and enquiries professionally and promptly
n
- Undertaking installations and service calls where required
n
n
Safety, quality and compliance
n
Safety is a key part of this role. You'll be expected to:
n
n
- Promote and support a strong safety‐first culture across field operations
n
- Ensure safe work procedures, BSA policies and critical risk controls are followed
n
- Provide appropriate technical and HSE guidance to employees and contractors
n
- Conduct monthly live HSE audits and address any identified issues
n
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used
n
- Participate in incident investigations and complete required reporting
n
- Identify and elevate HSE risks and issues to management
n
- Support a secure working environment for our people, customers and the public
n
n
What you'll bring
n
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
n
n
- A Grade Electrical licence
n
- Extensive experience in the metering industry
n
- Strong knowledge of smart metering and field service operations
n
- Understanding of changes to the National Electricity Rules (NER) and Type 1–4 meter rollouts
n
- Experience managing or supervising field teams and contractors
n
- Strong technical problem‐solving skills
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to operational issues
n
n
