Our client, Jim Pearson Transport specialises in grocery deliveries from distribution centres in Brisbane's southern suburbs to retail stores throughout regional North, South and West Queensland. About the Role

As a Transport Allocator, you'll coordinate the day‑to‑day movement of their fleet, drivers and deliveries. You'll need to be organised, proactive and confident making decisions under pressure, with a strong focus on safety, compliance and service.

- Plan and allocate daily pickups, deliveries, drivers and vehicles
- Monitor transport movements and complete accurate data entry and paperwork
- Identify and resolve operational issues in a fast‑paced environment
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with drivers, internal teams and external stakeholders
- Optimise loads and fleet capacity for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness
- Monitor refrigerated (reefer) units and support daily transport operations

About You

- 2+ years' experience as a Transport Allocator or previous experience in operations or supervisory role within the heavy industry (ie. scheduling, rostering, planning, coordination)




- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team of around 6–10 people
- Confident making decisions and working under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
- Understanding of transport safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements
