We're looking for an experienced Workshop Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician or Electrician looking for a diverse, hands‐on role working with specialised equipment in the aviation industry.
n

What you'll be working on
n
You'll service, maintain and repair a diverse range of aviation ground support equipment including:
n
n
- Aircraft tugs
n
- Belt loaders
n
- Baggage tractors
n
- Cargo loaders
n
- Passenger stairs
n
- Ground power units
n
- Specialised airport support equipment
n
n
No two days are the same, with a combination of preventative maintenance, diagnostics, breakdown response, commissioning and equipment upgrades.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults
n
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Attend breakdowns and minimise customer downtime
n
- Install, commission and test new equipment
n
- Complete OEM upgrades, service bulletins and warranty repairs
n
- Maintain accurate service records using electronic reporting systems
n
- Provide professional technical support and outstanding customer service
n
- Work safely while complying with company and airport safety requirements
n
- Travel occasionally to support customers across Australia when required
n
n
About you
n
You'll be someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical work and takes pride in delivering quality repairs.
n
Ideally you'll have:
n
n
- Mechanical, Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Mobile Plant or Electrical trade qualification
n
- Experience working on heavy vehicles, mobile plant, forklifts, agricultural, mining, construction or industrial equipment
n
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
n
Highly regarded, but not essential:
n
n
- Experience with PLCs, CANBus or electric drive systems
n
- Hydraulic fault-finding experience
n
- Aviation Ground Support Equipment experience
n
- Airside operating experience
n
n

Requirements
n
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
n
- Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing where required
n
- Willingness to travel occasionally for planned service work
n
