KINCROME is looking for an experienced Videographer / Video Editor to join our in-house media team in Scoresby.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who knows their way around a camera and knows an editing suite hotkey or two.
You’ll work alongside an established media team creating everything from fast-paced social content and product launches through to national campaigns, YouTube series, automotive and 4WD content, events and longer-form storytelling.
Video is the priority. Photography plays a part, but we’re primarily looking for a strong camera operator and editor who knows how to turn an idea into something people actually want to watch.
If you were here the last two weeks, you would have...
- Shot a major product campaign on a live civil construction site - video, photography and social content.
- Spent a day in the studio editing, building campaign cuts and shooting product imagery.
- Headed to Bass to film our Build Wars YouTube series and capture lifestyle product photography.
- Planned upcoming campaigns, reviewed current projects and prepped future shoots.
- Captured fast-turnaround social content with brand ambassadors at a trade show.
- Travelled to Tasmania for five days filming Build Wars and helping develop our dedicated production camera car.
- Wrapped the fortnight back in the edit suite, organising footage and getting the next round of content underway.
That’s a real two weeks in the KINCROME media team — and a pretty good example of the variety this role offers.
What the role actually is
You’ll shoot, and you’ll edit. Both matter.
You’ll work closely with our Content Production Lead and existing production team across projects of very different scales.
You’ll be involved throughout the production process - from developing ideas and planning shoots through to camera operation, lighting, audio, editing, colour,
sound and final delivery.
You’ll create content across:
- Commercial and brand campaigns
- Short-form and social-first content
- YouTube and longer-form productions
- Automotive, 4WD and motorsport content
- Product launches and promotional films
- Interviews and documentary-style stories
- Educational and how-to content
- Events and behind-the-scenes coverage
- Studio and on-location productions
Our cameras take us into studios, workshops, garages, racetracks, construction sites, trade shows, 4WD tracks and locations across Australia.
Photography also forms part of our team’s output, but this is first and foremost a video production role.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating qualified camera systems across studio and location productions.
- Shooting people, products, vehicles, interviews, events and real-world environments.
- Working confidently with lighting, lenses, audio, gimbals and production equipment.
- Editing both short-form and long-form content from raw footage through to final delivery.
- Creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and broader advertising campaigns.
- Handling colour, audio, music, graphics and finishing.
- Working with talent, ambassadors, customers and people who aren’t necessarily comfortable in front of a camera.
- Contributing ideas and helping develop concepts and shoots.
- Managing footage and projects as part of our shared production workflow.
- Occasionally jumping behind a stills camera when required.
Who we’re looking for
This isn’t an entry-level position.
We’re looking for a mid-weight creative or above with professional video production experience who can confidently arrive on location, pick up a camera and start creating.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong video editing skills with a good instinct for pacing and storytelling.
- A solid understanding of lighting, composition, exposure and audio.
- Experience taking projects from shoot through to polished final delivery.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a production team.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- The ability to adapt when a shoot doesn’t quite go to plan.
- A willingness to travel and occasionally work outside standard hours for shoots and events.
- A current driver’s licence.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or another professional editing platform is welcome - we’re more interested in the quality of your work than which NLE you use.
Photography, motion graphics, After Effects, drone, live production or streaming experience is a bonus, but you don’t need to tick every box.
- Work across a genuinely diverse mix of productions.
- Professional camera, lighting, audio and production equipment provided.
- Dedicated in-house studio and production facilities.
- Opportunities to travel for shoots, campaigns and events.
- Work across both short-form and long-form storytelling.
- Genuine creative input into the content we produce.
- Join an established media team rather than working as a one-person content department.
- Competitive remuneration package.
- Learning and development opportunities.
- Access to our onsite gym.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a team that genuinely cares about making good work.
