Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Casual Agricultural Technicians in Hughenden and surrounding regions, Central Queensland.

The roles can vary and you could be tasked with :

n

n
- Support processing tasks
n
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
n
- General site clean-up and housekeeping
n
- Operation of basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
n
- Assisting trades and machinery operators as directed
n
- Maintain hygiene, quality, and safety standards at all times
n
- Assisting trades and machinery operators as directed
n
- Compliance with all WHS requirements and site safety protocols
n
- Carrying out any other labouring duties as directed by supervisor.
n

For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet , lifting and active for the majority of your shift.

- Ready and able to work long shifts (10 hours a day)
n
- Be adaptable in your approach to work
n
- A great attitude with your work
n
- Be neat in tidy
n
- Be able to work alone or part of a team.
n
- All training will be provided.
n

n

You will be required to work on average 30 hours per week.

n

The term of work will be from September,



2026 to September, 2027

n

You will be paid either under the Pastoral Award 2020 [MA000035], the Horticultural Award [MA000028] and Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 [MA000010].

n

n
- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Levels 1 to 9+ = $32.18/hr up to $43+/hr
n
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
n
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
n
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
n
