A global financial technology business is building a new engineering team in Sydney.

We're looking for experienced Backend / Senior Software Engineers to join a high-performing engineering environment working on complex, high-scale financial technology.

The role

n

You will:

n

n
- Design and develop highly available, scalable backend systems.
n
- Own services from system design through to deployment and production.
n
- Work across complex, distributed systems and business-critical workflows.
n
- Design resilient architectures and asynchronous services.
n
- Build APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
n
- Work closely with Product, Operations and international engineering teams.
n

The business is technology agnostic, so strong backend engineers from a range of technology environments will be considered.

n

What we're looking for

n

n




- Strong commercial backend software engineering experience.
n
- Experience designing and maintaining complex systems at scale.
n
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
n
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and up-to-date engineering practices.
n
- Experience with APIs, asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.
n
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a focus on reliability, scalability and maintainability.
n
- Experience working in a collaborative product/engineering environment.
