About the role
n
We are seeking an Industrial Electrician who has worked with PLCs (troubleshooting and online changes) to join a agile maintenance team on a Monday to Friday afternoon shift roster in Melbourne's south-east.
n
This role is ideal for someone with:
n
n
- Strong PLC / automation troubleshooting capability
n
- Solid electrical fault-finding
n
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing, especially high-speed packaging equipment
n
n
You'll be involved in breakdowns, preventative maintenance, reliability improvements, and supporting maintenance projects to keep production running safely and efficiently.
n
Shift hours
n
2:00pm-10pm, Monday to Friday
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Electrical fault-finding and repairs across production and packaging equipment
n
- Troubleshooting PLCs and diagnosing faults in industrial control systems
n
- Programming / configuring drives, scanners and electronic control modules
n
- Preventative maintenance and equipment audits
n
- Mechanical maintenance on rollers, belts, VSDs
n
- Supporting root cause analysis to reduce downtime, waste, and repeat failures
n
- Identifying and contributing to equipment and process improvement opportunities
n
- Assisting with maintenance improvement projects and upgrades
n
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
n
n
What we're looking for
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- A-Grade Electrical Licence
n
- Experience as an Industrial Electrician in Automation/controls.
n
- Strong experience in FMCG / food manufacturing environments (highly desirable)
n
- Hands-on exposure to high-speed packaging equipment (desirable)
n
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
n
- A proactive mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
n
$55/hour + 15% loading for afternoon shifts + Super + OT (plenty of overtime available).
n
Salary equivalent: $125,000k + Super, OTE is $150,000 +
n
