Job Description
HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a leading public education and training provider to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a full-time fixed-term opportunity through to 17 December 2026.
n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with leaders, providing practical people advice, and delivering quality HR solutions across the employee lifecycle.
n Working as part of a cooperative People, Culture & Safety team, you will play a key role in supporting business areas across workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and general HR advisory matters.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide practical, customer-focused HR advice and support.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Partnering with leaders on workforce planning and identifying workforce challenges and solutions.
n
- Managing and supporting recruitment, selection, talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
n
- Providing advice to leaders across HR policies, procedures, employment conditions and employee lifecycle matters.
n
- Supporting flexible working arrangements and providing guidance to employees and managers.
n
- Supporting probation management and performance-related processes.
n
- Coaching and influencing leaders to build their people management capability.
n
- Supporting employee relations matters and escalating complex issues to relevant specialist teams.
n
- Preparing employment documentation, contracts and HR correspondence.
n
- Using HR data, reporting and insights to support informed business decisions.
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and ways of working.
n
- Working collaboratively with the broader People, Culture & Safety team to deliver a high-quality service.
n

About You
n
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident working with a broad range of stakeholders and can quickly establish credibility within a complex organisation.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
n
- Demonstrated experience within a People & Culture / HR environment.
n
- Strong HR advisory and business partnering experience across the employee lifecycle.
n
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance and employee relations processes.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
n
- The confidence to provide practical advice, coach leaders and influence outcomes.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
- Experience using HRIS and Microsoft Office systems, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
n
n
Experience within education, government, healthcare or another complex environment will be highly regarded. Experience with CHRIS21 and recruitment/onboarding systems will also be advantageous.
n
